Joan Giralt

Documentary filmmaker specialized in providing an intimate and close perspective on conflict zones. My work has centered around the complexities of the Middle East, covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the aftermath of the defeat of ISIS in Syria, the peshmerga resistance in Iraqi Kurdistan, and the rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan.

In addition, I have documented several migratory routes from their origins to their destinations, shedding light on issues such as the Russian invasion of Ukraine, fishing scarcities in Senegal, refugee camp situations in Syria, Lebanon, and Pakistan, as well as harsh winter conditions for migrants in Bosnia and Italy.
